Difference between the HFP suspensions (EX vs SI)?
Both the EX and SI has their respective "HFP" kit or so I've been told by the dealership. The EX HFP kit comes with the 17" rims, aerokit and the suspension kit. The SI HFP kit comes with the 18" rims, aerokit, suspension kit and exhaust.
My question: Is there a difference between the EX HFP suspension and the SI? I would think not as the entire stock strut is replaced.
My Objective: I would like to get the EX HFP kit for my SI instead of the bloated SI HFP kit.
Opinions? Ideas? Solutions?
UPDATE: EX HFP suspension kit DOES have a different number than the SI HFP struts. I'll try to find out if there's a difference in spring rates and possible fitting issues.

Are you asking if the kits are different?
I know they have different part numbers.

Kit wise, Yes. The "kits" have different numbers but I'm certain it's only a sales pitch. The aerokit and rims are interchangeable and I see no reason why the suspension should be any different.
EDIT: I'm concerned about mounting differences and spring rates.

Might be different spring rates and compression on the suspension since the stock si vs stock base suspensions are set up differently.

If the suspension setups have different part numbers its because they are different parts!... its not some sort of "sales pitch" . Spring / damper rates are different for the two because of stock sway bar sizes and due to the fact that the Si's come with stiffer spring rates from the factory.
I'm sure you could use the EX HFP suspension but I would imagine you'll get better handling/ride charctersitics with the MODEL SPECIFIC Si suspension

Also, the K20 weighs more than the R18 so I am guessing the spring rates and damping in the front is higher to compensate for that. If you got an EX HFP kit you are going to end up with something that is incredibly unbalanced.
