Cable clutch/ Hydro clutch- Question??

I was wondering if a clutch kit for a 92 civic- sohc eg with a hydro 5 speed tranny, work in a 91 civic- sohc ef with a cable 4 speed tranny? Are there the same amount of splines on both of the transmission input shafts?

I know it will work with the Si trans, if I rember correctly, the spline change happened in 89. But thats a shady answer
