Unusual "click"coming from hub/axle area.....
My **** retentiveness has alerted me to a new "sound". When accelerating OR decelerating at low speeds (from stop or to a stop) I can hear an audible click form the front left wheel area. This past weekend I unbolted the brakes, including calipers and rotors and inspected them. Nothing seem out of place. I turned the wheel and the axle by hand, back and forth but no luck duplicating the noise. Any ideas what this possible could be? I guess I can wait until a part fails or gets worse.
Thanks for any suggestions.

does it slow down when you do? Does it speed up when you do?
Check the tire as well. It could be as simple as a nail or something in the tire that is hitting pavement and clicking..

is it like a thud when going above 40.. or applying the brakes?
i heard a thud on the left side and i couldnt figure it out for days. then i looked on the RIGHT side, and some of my lug nuts were loose (probably from thieves
).
but then i put them on and the noise went away.. me =

It could be your axles. Before I removed my supercharger, I had a real big problem with axles making clicking noises whenever i would accelerate or decelerate.
I think i might have the same thing. Is it when you step on the gas or let off it when your at a slow roll? It sounds like a little pop. I wondered what this is as well.
I get a pop on my left front when I step hard on my brakes and when I step on the gas. I don't get it all the time just once in a while usually after the car has been sitting for a while.
What could it be?

I had the exact same problem (only on the pass. side). Whenever I let off the gas in a low gear, it would pop. Acura dealer said it was an engine mount not tightend or something like that??? I was positive is was coming from the wheel area. No more noise though.
uh.... i had this problem... when you gas it... *pop... lift off *pop... not a continuous clicking sound (as would be expected from something in your treads) but a single click when accel'ing and decel'ing....
...CVJoints... had the dealer replace it and viola...
FYI- Initially, I also suspected the calipers... but they were fine...
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked the pebble/nail thing and nothing. I'll check the motor mounts. There is some play in the axle when twist it. How much play is too much?
thanks
thanks
check:
-wheel bearing
-CV nut torque
and inspect the metal 'springs' that hold the brake pad inside the caliper. Mine have seen better days and will be replaced soon.

-who fixed one click.... and has another when touching the brakes...

It must be the axles... I had a similar problem with my GSR... now does it click when you turn... or does that even matter... with mine, it started off with small clicks and then it got real bad.. then I just swapped the axles out... lifetime warranty on them....
I've had bad axles in my old 86 civic. Different sound. This occurs as the tires "grip" and pull away from a stop or when you decelerate. (engine slows car down thus force is applied in the opposite direction)
i'm having this exact same problem. car is at the dealer right now and they are telling my it's from the non OEM pads i installed.
the pads are R4S and there is a little bit of play up and down when seated in the caliper.
i originally thought it was coming from the clips in the caliper but i removed the clips and it made the exact same noise. even if it was from the extra play it woudn't make the exact same noise when they were removed because the pads would banging against a different type of metal. caliper metal vs. clip metal
it's only coming from the left wheel and i had someone look at the wheel when the noise occured and you can see the entire hub shaking for a second.

Mine is going in to the dealer on friday for the same thing, I get it on both wheels it sounds to come from under the motor well at least not from the calipers or rotors. we'll see what the dealer says.
There were a few other posts on this and I remember reading that one guy had the dealer replaced the axles and the problem was fixed and another person said the tech at the dealer torqued everything down to spec and it went away.

When I pull off from a stop or accelerate, I get a click noise coming from the wheels. It is just a sharp "click", almost like a chirp. It is not continuous. a few clicks and it stops.

Well, after 3 days Acura gives me back the R, and guess what it's fixed! I asked them what the problem was and thay said they didn't know They pulled my axles to replace them, but mine were in perfect condition so they reinstalled them, and checked the vehicle again the noise was still there. So they lifted her back up and torqued everything up front to spec. and he said I mean everything, and when they took her out again problem solved. He told me to keep him posted, but he thinks I won't have this problem again. Sorry, but they said they have no idea what caused the noise, but after they torgued everything I can't get it to make the noise under any situation. Take it to Acura and have them torque everything and your problem will be solved. I think I caused the problem doing some fun runs at a auto-x where I did some extreme drifting, and the R hooked so hard that my helmet hit the drivers window a few times, because after that my door didn't open or close the same for a few days, then it went back to normal.
P.S. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=204605 I had the same noise at the same spot but on both sides.
