I dont really know the answer to your question, but FWIW I just bought an ITR that had CTR pistons, everything else stock, and he was running 94 octane and using a Kenji ecu.

I'm going back to stock so I'm selling the pistons, ECU, etc...

i would recommend another piston all together. The ctr piston is heavy, has a high dome which basically separates the combustion chamber, and will yield a compression of 12.5:1 or a little higher when used in the b18c5 assuming everything else is stock.

If you want to bump your compression, Id go with jdm b16 pistons, they will raise it but itll be around 12.0:1 and with less dome.

I would definitely recommend some dyno tuning with a wide band when raising the compression that much, especially if you want to get the most out of it as well as preventing detonation.

USDM B16A2 pistons should put your B18C5 at around 11.3:1 CR.

JDM SiR II pistons will give you 11.5:1.

Assuming everything else is stock, that is.

I wouldn't want to run compression that high without some ecu tuning, myself.
