Good luck finding parts, I dunno of anyone doing it on a 6th gen v6

There's only 2 accords to my knowledge that have done this and they were CD5's

3.2 CL Type S 6-spd transmission.

It can be done. I don't know what is involved though.

phil has anyone done it on this year yet? I don't think I've ever seen it. I know of the 2 v6 cd5's getting it done with some crazy like 80's vigor/legend parts or something

Yeah, I've heard of a few people who have done it with 6th gens, using the Type S 6-spd. There's a guy here in Houston that did it as well, and I've seen it with my own eyes. I wanted to ask him about it, but he was this cocky guy with a better-than-thou attitude.

5th gen Accord V6's and the old Legends both used C-series motors, and the old Legend was available with a manual trans. I've heard of a few doing this swap, but not very many. From my understanding, the trans wasn't a perfect fit, but I really don't know...

Hmm good deal, bummer on the 6th gen you saw, I'm curious how they went around doing it.

Yeah, Dave has both the CL-S motor and tranny swapped. From he said, the wiring was a pain, but not the hardest thing in the world either.

Does the V6 Accord's ECU control the auto trans as well? Or does it have a separate TCU? If it's one combined unit, then I imagine things could get pretty complicated pretty quickly if you only swap the trans.

Makes me wonder which would be easier: Just the tranny, or the motor with tranny?
