replacing struts
its time for me to replace my stock struts. im trying to decide between OEM honda or KYB GR-2s. i can get a full set front and rear of GR-2s for $250 shipped. i dont know how much OEM hondas cost though, so if anyone can tell me i'd appreciate it. and i would also like to know your opinions on which one i should get, and if i should even consider getting monroe brand struts to save some cash.
and just so you know, the car wont see any kind of performance driving, its strictly daily driver for getting to school and work. my main priority for the struts is comfort, durability, and safety.

I had/have a set of those GR-2's on the CD7 I bought along with goldline springs. The ride was not horrible but I much prefer my Koni Yellows to it.
Do you have any other suspension upgrades done? Lowering springs, etc?
At $250 I guess it's not a bad deal I think I would put a bit more money into it though to prevent any damage to the car. Spend the money now to prevent the damage later on

If you're on stock springs, GR-2's will be fine. If you have lowering springs, don't get them. The one experience I had with Monroe struts wasn't that bad, but I'd rather get the GR-2's.
I suspect the OEM struts would be much more expensive than GR-2's...

the car is completely stock and is going to stay that way, like i said, its only for DD and commuting to work and school. its also going to be my mom's car (again) soon, once i pick up a WRX for myself. does anyone know what manufacturer makes OEM honda struts? and whether or not they are gas or not. so far im leaning towards the GR-2s, but imma hit up honda to see how much OEM ares first before mkaing the final decision.

I don't know who makes them, but they are hydraulic struts.

Yes it was, and so what if they are performance, they are adjustable so you can get it the way you like it.
I'd recommend them.

I would assume a good thing, stock = good ride, crappy quality shocks = bad ride. lol
and ive only heard good things about kyb shocks, only downside ive heard is using gr2's with a fairly lowered car, since they're only made to be factory replacements, although since your car is stock ride height anyways im sure the gr2's will do ya just fine
