i have a crx and ecu says pm6 so it is an si i tried to chip it and the chip did not fit so i got a 91 pm6 and chip did fit so is it possible or not

 

from what i read/hear the 88-89 pm6 was not able to be chipped

 

i believe its only 90-91 ecus that are chippable

 

The ecu im running now is a 89 Pm6, some of the later 89 can be chipped, it depends from what I've read

they can be...

im not sure of the month, but i think the june/july ones + can be chipped...

im not sure exactly what month it is, but i know the later months can be chipped...

 

Just pop off the plate and look, Later ones can be like it was said but It only takes a minute to see.

 

just open it,,if it has external eprom you can chip it easily ,if it doesnt you can still chip it but i cant do it (its hard)
