i lost the original key to my Del Sol...so i was wondering, could i just swap the locks from a EG civic into a del sol? just the door locks, not the handles....

also, i would reather get another OEM key from the dealer...i heard that if you go with your title, they make you an OEM key.....has anyone tried this? how long does the dealer take to do this?

lastly, if anyone has a del sol door locks and trunk lock, just the locks with the key! PM me and i will buy them, just to make life a lil easier...lol

 

just get a new OEM key at the dealer its likes 5 bucks each and takes 2 minutes to do.

 

so i just take the title to my car.....will it matter if the title is not under my name, i just bought the car yesterday and i dont wnat to register it, without keys...lol...i did sign the title, and i do have a valid driver license, so maybe that should work

 

name on the title should match the one on your license...any way u can get the guy to come with you? You'll have to show proof that you do own the car if u want the keys, basically.

Yeah they cut the key from your vin number.

Took me all of 5 minutes for my del sol.

 

ok, so i did this today at the honda dealership and they gave me a key, when i went to open my door, it doesnt want to take the key!....do you have to "jimmy it" a lil bit in order to make it turn?
