Default burning clutch?

i think my clutcch is burning, but im not sure. when i brake to a complete stop when im sitting there i can smell a burning rubber, when i down shift, while braking i can smell it worse. but when i get out the car it seem like the smell is coming from the back wheel and not the front where everything else is. and the whole time my e- brake is not on at all, well at east no when im driving. Just need to get sum ideas of what it could be.

If the smell is coming from the back, then it's probably in the back.

Check for any type of rubbing, on the wheel, and in the brake assembly.

Sounds like a locked up rear caliper. The outside pad will look fine but the inside pad will be worn more. Pretty easy to check and see if the slider pins move freely or if they are locked down.

It wouldn't be doing things like that.

It would probably slip at mostly high rpms,
Or getting into gears would become very hard.
