Aftermarket Fuel Pressure Regulator Question
So when I bought my Integra (92 GS) it already had an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator on it, now there is a guage for it under the hood and when the engine is warm and its idling, it sits around 40 psi. But anyways I was wondering how I could find out if its adjustable anywhere, and my other question is if a higher fuel pressure psi rating makes reduces your fuel economy at all. or if it boosts power at all, basically what it does. I'm new to this scene, and unfourtunately I didn't do the mod myself and so I don't know what make or model the fuel pressure regulator is sorry, what I do know is its purple. thx for you help in advance guys.
Take a picture of the FPR, and I could Probably tell you how to adjust it.
Also Raising it up will do nothing for you except consume more fuel,
Thus running Rich, and losing gas mileage.

If it looks anything like the one in this picture ...

The nut with red on it, is the Locking nut, which you would loosen,
And then the Brass piece with green on it, is the one you would turn to adjust it.

um so if thats how i adjust it my question is why even bother having one if all it does is kill fuel economy? thx for the help</TD></TR></TABLE>
its for fine tuning for motors that need more fuel, ie built motrs or forced induced motors where fuel is crucial to prevent detonation or wash outs

Yep, if you have a stock engine, there is next to no use for having one.
But since it's on there already, there's no point in changing it back.

No, it probably doesn't, but some people like to add them anyway. Personally, I'd just adjust it to stock pressure and leave it alone.

40psi on the fuel pressure gauge would be around stock for your motor,
lowest I would go on it, would be 38psi.
If you do adjust it, take off the hose from the Top of your FPR,
And then adjust it to where you want on the gauge.
