Default compression difference between b18a and b18b?

after putting my lsvtec together i find out that my block maybe warped. the only thing i didn't do was get it decked.now i'm looking for replacement block. i used a b18b that was in the car would there be difference if i use the b18a block, like compression or crankcase? need to kmow asap cause their are a lot of good deals for b18a blocks and the b18b are little harder to find for a good price

same compression and everything? i always thought the b18a made less power and thought that was due to lower compression.

The only real difference between the two are I believe the intake manifolds are slightly different, and I know the cams are different.

Not too sure on the manifold though. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. The major difference would be the cams.

90/91 b18a... obd0, pr4 IM
92/93 b18a... obd1, pr4 IM
94/95 b18b... obd1, p75 IM
96/01 b18b... obd2a/b, p75 IM, different valve cover, PCV on valve cover

Only main difference with the blocks are the obd2 versions dont have the black box behind the block for pcv. All blocks are pretty much identical internally.
