Default DOHC ZC for honda challenge?

I don't see it listed in the rulebook, anyone have any experience with the subject?

Basically I have a D16, a D15, and a ZC sitting here, and I gotta pick which one to throw in. If the ZC is out, then the D15 is going in while I rebuild the D16, and the ZC will be sold.

Check out the New Rules and section 5.1 specifically.

The ZC "could" run in H2 under the "B18, B20, others not listed" engine classification.
The D16 can run in H4 as long as the engine code matches the chassis (and it meets all the other H4 rules)
The D15 can run either H5 or H4 with the same caveats about the rest of the rules.

H4 is where the party is. H5 you'd have all by yourself. And with the ZC in H2 I think you'd have your hands full. Not much chance the ZC will pull a B18 or B20 at the same 2250lbs. But they are cheap

H5 is part of party in other parts of the Honda Challenge world than here on the left coast.

H4 is a big party in all regions.

Well, then I think I'll run the ZC. I was thinking of changing engine series, but I'd rather just get it running now and have fun.

Thanks.

Good call. Better to get out there than wait for life to be perfect.

Have fun. Be sure to post a gloat and tell us a few war stories.

Hah that is weak grouping the ZC with the B18 and B20. The ZC IS just another D16, for all practical purposes. Oh well, get out there and have fun..

Isn't just a 1.6 B18a?

My rules don't list the ZC. It might fall under the B18, B20 and others not listed for H1 at 2250lbs. You are stuck with a stock manifold. You won't have a chance in H1.

It is not listed at all in H2-H5. I doubt you could run it in anything but H1 because it did not come any American Chassis.

Hmmm, but you could run a D16A1 from a 1g integra right? I would how a spec'd out 1g CRX Hf with a blacktop A1 would do...I keep wondering if there is a place for a 1g crx to perform well with the top crowd.

Mind you, I know nothing about racing or this series, other than Hondas race in it.
