Default Opinions on exhausts for 06 LX

I'm thinknig about getting the Magnaflow exhaust system for my LX however i'm looking for opinions on sound, look, performance and what not.

Is it loud? if so, is it loud all the time or just when under acceleration. I don't want something that's gonna drive me crazy on the highway as I do mostly highway driving. I'm also wondering on performance as I do take the car to the track in the summer months.

I was quoted $600CAD + $65CAD for install. Any insight into this would be very helpful.

Anything would be appreciated.

You only gave it 2 hours and 24 minutes. Not all members are on at this time. Be more patient when you are asking a question.

BTW, you can probably find videos on youtube.

yeah sorry, i know i didn't wait overly long, really just wanted to bump it to the top, better chance of getting reply...

i went to youtube, only ones there are one of a guy revving it up (sounds good) and one horrible one of a guy revving it the sound is totally distorted.

really wondering more of what the sound is on the highway at cruising speeds, and what the performance gains are. i've heard 4hp, and $600CAD for 4hp really isn't worth it to me for sure. and the post that i seen that said 4hp didn't really back it up with anything and i don't really know where they would have got that info cause there's no dyno sheets that i've seen so far to tell me about the gains.

also would a high flow cat make much of a difference also??

sorry for the impaitence.

Probably had a crappy video camera. Yes, the high flow cat would work as well. Probably be a couple hundred dollars cheaper too.

so a high flow cat without the exhaust would make a performance difference in itself? dosn't cause any CEL's?

anyone here have the magnaflow exhaust w/ a high flow cat?

yeah i realized that after i posted that reply...that sucks

maybe i'll wait for one to come out. $600 for 4-5 HP isn't really worth it.

anyone have insight into this?? anyone dyno'd one yet?

no dyno, but i put my magnaflow on like 2 weeks ago and i love it. not much of a difference in low-end torque, but i can definitely feel a power difference 4.5k+. and the sound is amazing, i love how deep the tone is and its not loud/ricey, which is exactly what i wanted. autoanything had it for 461 w/free shipping, so try there.

http://www.hottexhaust.com

Enter coupon code "jetta"

For the magna flow exhaust total price should come out to like $371
