I just installed an Si transmission into my 91 CRX Si and now when I downshift, or hit a bump, or sometimes randomly it pops out of gear. 5th feels especially worse and is tough to get it in gear. When I downshift to 4th the shifter jerks back and forth and vibrates alot, and then sometimes randomly 3rd pops out.
I'm almost positive that there is enough trans fluid in there and axles are good.
Possible causes: My front engine mount is bad, and I put the shift linkage bushing on that covers the bitch pin. Is there any way that the bad mount or that bushing is causing my gears to pop out or do you think its just the tranny fluid?
As far as I know its a good transmission, but you never know when your buying a random used one.
ATTENTION: Tyson. I read that you won't answer pms so if you have any suggestions please lemme know. I saw that you filled in your front engine mount with extra fuel lines and I wonder since my front mount is completely shot that it would cause the motor/trans to jerk so much it would throw my car out of gear.

You def. need a good front engine mount. I filled mine with Windo-Weld, and it stiffened right up! Before that, my shifter would rock back and forth when I let off the gas. Coupled with filling the back motor mount, it will make it rock solid.

A bad front mount shouldn't pull the trans out of gear. I would say you have a bad tranny. Sounds to me like a bad main shaft bearing letting one of the clusters move back and forth in the trans.
Was the tranny ever opened up? Is there aftermarket rvt on the case? Maybe the shift rod ***** and springs are missing. Or maybe the snap ring for the secondary gear cluster is missing.
Either way something is messed up in the tranny.

Yea it definitely feels internal and thats why I'm pissed off. I JUST swapped this in and don't feel like swapping it out again. I can't imagine being low on oil or bad engine mount would seriously effect my transmission considering 4th is jerking back/forth like crazy and its popping in/out of 5th.
I might have to park my CRX now and cancel my plans to sell it for something else.
