Over Charged?!
I have a 92-93? Accord. Well to get to the point. I am wondering where to start to fix my problem of my car not starting. But the twist is that I had a problem with my battery dying for no reason. Replaced. Three times. Found out that my Alternator was overcharing it. But at the time I wasnt able to buy a new alternator. So one day coming home I was driving and the Tach and Speedometer were acting freaky. Staying at 0 till I applied the brakes...But I didnt make it home, it studdenly stopped completely...and smelled like burnt plastic. So I got it towed back to my house, replaced the alternator, battery, and fuses that went out. But wont start...Also when battery is hooked up the cooling fan wont shut off. Any ideas? I could really use some help, this is my only car! Thanks!

I don't know the science behind alternators but i would think - in theory - that maybe a regulator could glitch out and start conducting more than 12v's causing it to overpower everything and even melt things as well. But like I said, I'm no alternator guru.
I would probably check the starter... My friend's 91 Prelude has that same problem with the fan but that's all with his car. It'll start and drives and runs. Once the car cools off the fan goes off...
Edit: Check this out... could possibly help your fan situation https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1857976

Yeah I read that post, im going to try that asap, and i believe the starters fine it wants to start but it seems like its not getting spark, im still waiting for better weather here so i can work on it again.

Some troubleshooting is needed. The alternator is supposed to output 14 volts or so, not 12v. But it should not output more than the specification, hence the dying batteries. Something(s) got burnt in your electrical system.
Check your spark circuit, the coil/igniter, distributor cap, and spark plug wires.
Your fan circuit is probably a separate matter. Maybe your temperature sensor or your fan switch got broken.

Yeah my buddy at work thought the temp sensor is bad also, and right now im replacing the igniter/whole distributor.
