where to get new turbo accessories?
i was thinking of building my own turbo set up instead of buying an expensive turbo kit, but i haven't found any turbo accessories for sale for a 00 Si all the things i found where for factory turbocharged car. i was looking for FMIC that came with the piping and such but i couldn't find one. so basically if i want to make my own setup i need to fabricate a lot of stuff right?
Custom is always better because it fits right. There are companys like full race and T1 that make a pipping kit if you give them your dementions of the intercooler. Also if you buy an intercooler from some companies theyll have a pipping kit to go along with it.
at what HP does the ignition system need to be replaced? also is this all i need or am i missing something. turbo manifold, turbo, dumptube, downpipe, FMIC and piping, oil line for turbo, blow off valve. am i missing something?
turbo
manifold
downpipe
wastegate/dumptube
intercooler
ic piping/bov
oil line kit
aftermarket fuel pump
injectors/resistor box if needed
whatever tuning you decide
guages are also important
there's other misc. things but that's the gist of it

Attaches to the wastegate.
Attaches to the wastegate.
You can weld the dumptube to the downpipe if you want. But here's how it's set up:
The manifold will have 2 flanges on it, one for the turbo, the other for the wastegate. Then the wastegate has a flange as well for the dumptube, which is seperate from the downpipe. The downpipe will connect off the turbo, as well as the ic piping. That's your basic set up...sometimes you can find someone selling both the wastegate and their dumptube together, or get it custom made, or run without it which isn't recommended.
