Default what is needed for a ls vtec conversion

i just bought a 94 non Vtec Integra....its my first Integra..i love it...but the only thing i dont like about it, that it has a non Vtec engine. I heard from a friend that there is a conversion kit for the non Vtecs, the ls Vtec conversion...what do i need so that everything will work when i put in the conversion Vtec kit? He tells me that i would need a ls block, what type of block would that be since i have a rs Integra?

The only answer you'll get on here is SEARCH. that being said if you have smog laws like cali it's not smog legal. Second SEARCH!!! Go to all motor section and find all you can and use search button at top, and select archieved first.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Your friend is an idiot. Don't ever listen to him again when it comes to cars. Please. There are many articles on the internet that tell you all you need to know about ls/vtec conversions. Go read a lot, it takes work, but it's worth it. Be prepared to throw down at least $1k.

your way off just search ls/vtec . Ill help ya a little since i nothing better to do at the moment .

ls , rs , ... bs whatever, they have the same motor its just refered to as an ls motor .

you dont buy a vtec solinoid and vtec cams and just put them in your head it doesnt work like that . You buy a vtec head from a b16 b18c1(gsr) or b18c5 (type r) and put it on your ls block .

The kit you talk about is for oil lines and maybe head studs , things you need to make the head swap work . There are more things that you need to get or should get , but you need to do some research this topic has been beat to death .

Just read this thread.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1676914

When I looked that up it took me like literally 10 seconds to find that thread. It answers most if not all of your questions on what you need. It also has a walk through. Seriously, just search. It's really user-friendly too.

nope..doesn't matter how much air is going in, vtec crosses over whenever you get to a certain rpm (b16 ->5700rpm, gsr->4400rpm, etc.)
