1990 honda accord dx auto trans... so yesterday i spent the better half of the day at the junkyard and in my garage. i'm tryin to repair a broken muffler but the one i picked up at the junkyard would not fit on my car and the C clamp was rusted....... (would not budge) what risk if any, do i run by driving around with no muffler for the next month or so???

is it true that i will get shitty gas mileage?

 

It's a muffler, it'll just be loud as expletive and you can get ticketed for it

 

i ran my accord with rusted muffler and it was pretty loud, like people were turning heads ... so if you dont have any muffler it'll be loud as hell. i dont know though how much is the ticket for that ..

No, there's nothing that'll hurt your car, it like I said earlier is a muffler, it just muffles the sound. It also like I said will be very loud, I would imagine if you drive past a cop you would get ticketed, had a friend who had this happen in high school.

 

It won't hurt... it will just make you a "lil" bit more pissed... that's all....
