this is for a turbo application, will a larger TB make a diff on a stock IM?

It will make your throttle response faster, but if the plenum isn't port-matched it probably won't do anything as far as power gains.

whats the best method for port-matching the plenum?? is the idea to get the plenum the same size as the TB or slightly smaller?? im thinking of picking up a TB for my NA application but have been holding off casue i dont know if it will be worth it without portmatching it. seems to me that it wouldnt really be worth having a larger TB if the plenum is alot smaller cause the intake charge would get held up at the plenum.

when i did mine i just used a diamond dremel bit from home depot and then finished it up with a 750 stone. i had made the opening the size of the tb and slightly tapered it down. it is tedious but well worth it.

how did you prevent **** from getting into the IM?

just blow it out w/ compressed air??
