I didn't think it stood for anything. Like DX,LX,EX... do they stand for anything? I just thought they stood for what they are. Si = sport model, EX = loaded base model, lx = average model, dx = barebone system. I just thought it was understood as that.

No, the DX, LX, EX don't stand for anything, it's just a differentiation of trim levels, the Si, is also a trim level, but it actually stands for something, i.e. Sport Injected. It obviously refers to the fuel injection.
