Welding stainless and aluminum, how difficult is it?

Default Welding stainless and aluminum, how difficult is it?

I can MIG and TIG mild steel and stuff, but i've never tried aluminum and stainless, is it extremely difficult?

Stainless is very controlled I think...very similar to mild if not easier. Aluminum just takes more care due to its high heat conductivity and lower melting point. You gotta just give it a try and form your opinion.

I actually felt that aluminum was easier than mild, but most say otherwise

stainless is just like mild but needs 1/3 the heat and shows symptoms of too much heat more readily
