Default B16 from 99 SI, Timing belt snapped at idle... how bad can it be

A friend of mine had a belt snap at idle.. he took it to a shop and they put a new timing belt and water pump on it...
The shop started it up and said it was misfiring and runnin like ****.. they told him to look for a new head, or do somethin... they said that they think the valves are bent...

He found a full swap and I swapped a new B16 into his 99 SI and kept the motor for myself..
I just got around to taking the head off it this weekend.. and after looking it all over, i really cant see any visible damage... all the valves look like they are seated properly, no real marks on them at all... and no marks on the pistons..

Since i didnt hear the motor runnin at the shop, i really dont know how bad it could be...
Ill have pics up tomorrow, but anyone wanna give me their opinions of the situation.. I wanna get this motor runnin again and sell it... but i gotta find the problem

When a valve bends, is it really noticable? what should i be looking for..?

took it to a engine shop and they pressure tested the valves and noticed that it is leaking in a couple intake valves... although its not visible

so you'll spend like 60 bucks in valves, not bad.

i had a camgear break off and let go at like 1500 rpms coming to a stop on a z6 a while ago. fixed the gear and the car ran fine (until theft, so whoever stole my car you probably got some slightly bent valves )
