Need help asap on wiring 96-98 civic fogs..
I have depo square fogs installed and they were working for a few years.. They dont work anymore and i want to wire them the way that they come from the factory.. (Turns on with the parking lights along with a switch)
I want to do this without a relay because mine is fried....Can someone explain to me what wires, harness's go where under the dash and in the fuse box?
edit (solved problem) For those searching for an answer.. Check the fuse and the relay. then the grounds then the switch.. In my case both the relay and the fuse were fucked up

factory fog lights come with a special harrness ..
what you mean they don;t work no more?
you have to use a relay or you car will burst in to flames..

my relay is burnt out... is it a bad idea to wire them to the parking lights directly, ground them both and put a bigger fuse in

there are 4 pins on the relay each has a number (30,85,86,87) it may have 5 pins (with 2 87 pins)
(thin wire will due here
85 - you connect to the ground
86 - tap the parking light wire
(use thick wires for these)
85 - connect to the fogs light (+) side
86 - connect to battery (+)
the fog light (-) side gets grounded
if you do this you fog light wil come on with your parking lights!
wrap relay with tape and try to put in a dry spot..
Check out this thread! Its for an EG but the wiring will be the same for all Civic models. It helped me out ALOT when I did them on my 99-00.

Good luck! And if you need a new relay, Radio Shack has them really cheap!
