Default Need help with B-seires hood clearenss!

hey all, I just got done putting my GSR swap into my '89 crx si and am having problems with the valve cover conecting with the hood when I close it.

I have already put washers at the heng points and it still seems to be rubbing.

with out going JMD Sir front end, or CF hood is there a USDM hood that with clear a B-seires motor with out cutting it up

Thanks for your alls help

what kind of mounts are you using?

the only thing you can really do is cut the webbing

B16 is shorter by something like 11mm (don't remember exact number).

The only way is to cut the webbing under the hood.

yeah it should clear. but if you have Ebay mounts you will run into this problem.

Innovative mounts and Hasport can both clear a B20 and probably some others do too

I am using Hasport mounts and it still rubs. Cutting the webbing is my only choise? The only reason I dont want to go CF is because I really dont like the look of hood pins.

thanks for the info.

A B20 block is just as tall as a B18 block. The PR3 and P72 heads sit higher than the non-vtec heads and thus would make a B18c taller than a B20. Either way, the Hasport mounts will be very close with a B20 (probably still touches) and the B18c WILL touch.

This is all using HASPORT mounts.
