Headlight 5th gen question
I was wondering is the 5th gen prelude headlight a projector style?
And for HID is it the H1?
Yes I did look around before posting and couldn't find anything helpful. I found that the HID were H1 but just making sure.

1) 5th Gen headlights were not designed for HIDs
2) With just a regular HID kit, you'll be blinding on coming traffic, have major glare, and hot spots
3) Have a retrofit done
4) I can do a retrofit for you. I have been doing them for about 3 years now, and if you click the link in my sig, it'l take you to a few pics of my work
5) DON"T BUY A CHEAP HID KIT cause you'll regreat it later. I know, cause I've had several customers tell me how much better a retrofit is over a cheap HID kit
Hope this helps

My bad, there are no projector headlights for the 5th Gen. It's all custom work that has to be done

I have a friend with a mazda protege, he put a "cheaper" HID kit in his car, roughly $130, and his look amazing, and he's had them for over 6 months with no issues. Any ideas? or did he just score a good set?
Yeah, it looks amazing. You will see better even if the light is thrown all over the place. No one's refuting that. These kits may work well in some cars. But take a look at the 5th gen's headlights. They're huge, have large reflective areas that will cause a lot of glare when an HID kit is utilized. I had them. Great for me, I could see everything in front of me, but I'm sure it caused lots of discomfort for others around me, ahead of me in the opposite direction.
These kit's are getting very cheap ($300 and up about a year ago, less than $200 now), so now I see them all over the place and I can see why they are dangerous...

Yes, to other drivers. To me. Later at night, when I'm tired. Especially, when you're on a 'lude that's lowered. Guy's in big *** trucks are installing these kits. Absolutely ridiculous.
