You hardly see 5th gen with hid kit is not unsual. HID into halogen reflector is dumb. The glare on 5th gen headlight is unacceptable. Save your money and do it the right way --> HID RETROFIT.

what do you mean by retrofit?

is this related to the bmw headlight conversion?

maybe it's somewhat common elsewhere, but for some reason i just don't really see em around here... hmmm

it's either JDM fogs or HIDs.... would prefer the latter.

any reference points you can direct me to? any helpful websites on the "retrofit".

thanks!

hid on your regular housing would give up a lot of glare, the best thing to do is do a retrofit meaning taking the projectors along with the whole oem system of another car such as bmw, acura etc; and custom fit them into your headlight for the best light you can get just like a bmw or porsche or audi lights no difference. I know there's a member here who does these retrofit for peolple here. I'm going to have him make mine soon

Here is one of my old set up. Not the best but just for you to have the idea what retrofit is.
