Default right side driveshaft

I did a search and can't find nothing, So I need some simple input, I'm putting in my new axle on the passenger side and it will not go in as oppose to the driver side it just popped, someone who has done this, can you pass on your Knowledge i would greatly appreciate it.

Car is 1994 accord LX Manual tranny

did you replace the metal rings where it connected to the tranny?

no, i read the manual says nothing about a metal ring (unless you mean the set ring on the inboard end of the driveshaft) just remove old driveshaft and put in new one. problem is neighter old or new one will not go in ( i tried inserting the old one in too see if i had the wrong part, but even that's not going in)
