Default Installed my Injen CAI

Yesterday, me and a friend installed the Injen CAI on my 06 Si. I love it.. The install took about 3 hours but that was taking our time, and eating somewhere inbetween. The install is a lot easier then it looks. I think the hardest part was taking the battery tray out of there LOL. The sound it gives off now is amazing and the mid range power is definately noticeable. From 4,000 RPM and up is amazing now.

Thanks everyone for the answers to my questions previously, I couldnt be happier.

How do you get the bumper off or did you have to take it off. I just my injen cai for my 07 SI and I want to install it in the morining before I go to work (I cant wait). So I wanna know as much as possible before I wake up.

Hydrolock is NOT your friend. Enjoy the intake, for what it's worth. Err on the side of caution.

I dont know what time you have work in the morning but I wouldnt take the chance and rush it. It takes about anywhere from 1-2.5 hours depending on how good you are at turning the wrenches. IMO the directions from Injen were pretty crappy but I also suck at this kinda stuff as for the bumper removal it can be a little bit of a pain heres a DIY for your viewing pleasure.

The only differences that exist between the si and the non-si are in the engine bay.

Installation was pretty self explanatory... the instructions were pretty good if you ask me.... It takes about 2 hours like someone else said. I can now take my bumper off in about 5 minutes now, but at first it was confusing. There are plastic poppers pretty much holding it on. There are 5 under the hood and several below the car. There is a phillips head screw on each fender and a bolt right in front of the fender. Once you get everything out. You just pull the bumper off.. It snaps into place so you have to give it a good pull. Watch out, if you have fogs, they are plugged in so dont yank to hard.... There is cutting involved on the mud flaps of the driver side... You gotta take battery and try out.... I took both tires off.. Just made it easier. This is something you dont want to rush just to show your friends. Here is a picture.

Just to remember to drive AROUND the puddles and not through them. Doesn't matter how shallow they may look.
