Feels slower than it is......
that is probably because you are not use to a smooth car. If your car lets in outside sound and rattles a lot it will seem to feel the speed you are going.
The aerodynamics of the R make it squat down and grip the road at higher speeds.
When I was going 140+ in my R it felt smooth as butter.

After I moved up from my CRX to my M3, it was noticeably smoother at any decent speed... I remember hitting 100MPH in the CRX would take 2 hours and it'd just feel like the car was falling apart, the M3 is just smooth.
I don't even own a Honda anymore, I still love them so I post here hehe.

Oh, let me correct my previous statement.
When I was going 140+ mph on a private property closed airfield it felt smooth as butter.

Happens to me all of the time. I am just cruising along on the freeway when I happen to glance at my speedo and I am doing 100 mph. Then I hop in a Tercel and 55 mph feels like mach 3

Thats because its a GSR and everyone knows its not made as well as an ITR. Not to mention the sound the Bondo that filled in your sunroof makes at the high speed!

That reminds me, when are you trying to Bondo up trunk holes from the GSR wing and cut the holes in glass for the 3rd brakelight?

It all depends when I find the diamond coated saw-zall blade.

You must have a 4.9.
I know what you mean though. Once I hop on the highway and realise I'm cruising at around 4700 RPM I think it's time to bring the RPM's back down. After a couple minutes of cruising it just becomes normal and all you hear is the hum of the motor/exhaust (unless you have a radio for background sounds)

Negative Ghostrider.....He has the 4.7 on a USDM tranny.

Must be a 92-93 cable GSR tranny then because a 4.7 in that tranny (does it fit in there?) would put him at ~4800 RPM in 5th gear at 80 MPH.
A 94+ GSR tranny would put him at ~4300 RPM in top gear at 80 MPH with a 4.7.
So either he's rocking the cable tranny or he's got more goin' on
That's all assuming a tire diameter of 23.4 in.
<-----4.7 in J4D

No, he really has an ITR and teh 4.7 is in a USDM ITR tranny. We all joke with him about having a GSR b/c people will come up to him and tell him they like his Type R converted car.
