Default Is a 97 or 99 h22a better for a 97 accord??

The 97 Prelude Type S has 220 hp. And the '99 Prelude and up has 200 hp.. why is the older one stronger? Which one would be better for a 97 accord EX??

The H22 Spec S motor had different internals, cams, valvetrain, et cetera, and was never sold in the US. Here are the differences:

the 97 is a Type-S lumpier cams and a few other things

the 99 is just the base h22a4

there is no difference, one motor is just from an older car and from a perspective of power one would want the type-s if you wish, but then again its not specific of "what will be best for the accord' there is no such thing there is only power and no power
