it gets louder around 2-3k rpm. anybody had this problem before?

 

Time for a valve adjustment.
When was the last time one was done?

 

Sometimes the bearings in the distributer go bad so that is also a possibility.

 

i'm not sure about the valve adjustment. i just got the car like 3 months ago. but i'll take a look at both. thanks guys

 

i have a similar problem mine has been driving fine but it sounds like valves but its all good its coming from my distributor what causes it and whats the fix do you know ? im trying to figure mine out let me know if you know how to fix it

 

not fixed yet. still trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with it. but i'll let you know when i find out.
