Default How do you know if your deck is blown ¿

I have an Alpine 9853 and it seems to be working as far as using the options and tuning on the screen. BUT I get no sound out of the speakers. Ive tried using the fader and balance but still no sound out of any of the speakers. I put my friends alpine in and it works just fine. Is my alpine blown?

When my old pioneer head unit went, same thing happened. The unit turned on, could move throught menus, could cycle from tuner to cd, but never got any sound. Tossed the head unit into the trash and bought a new one.

Have it repaired or toss it and get a new one. 94
