Man, iv been having issues with rats around my house..

I live in a rural area, and just this beginning of winter they have been digging under my front porch and making themselves at home...

Little did I know what was really going on until I change my oil, .. rat **** EVERYWHERE.. my enginebay looks SOO ******* dirty, and theres **** EVERYWHERE.. my battery, melted **** on my engine... they even tried to chew on some stuff, but its VERY minimal...

So anyway, since my car was in the wacked in the front last week and iv been comtemplating what to do with it.. iv had her in my garage for the past 3 days,

I had the driver window down the whole week.. so Today when I got back from pickn up a nice used bumper i head to the garage... i open my door and theres a motherfucking rat chilling on my seat eating an APPLE...

WTF???!?!?!?!?!!?

The thing runs behind the radio column and scurries aruond.. I ran into the house and called my brother.. we chill there and look at the **** allover my engine bay in disgust, and what do we see next?? ************ climbs up on my driverside door and peeking at me right threw the WINDOW!!.. the door was open so he jumps on the fender, crawls somewhere into the engine bay..

I hurry and get into the car and start her up, so i can scold and burn that btch!..

THIS SUCKS>... my engine bay used to look like NEW! now its dirty with ****.. and my whole front end is FOOKED.

Whats the best stuff to use on the engine guys?/ water and soap and some scrubbing + pressure washer??

I took some meat and some rat poison and set it around hte garage aswell.. theres maybe just 1-2 of them that got in there, but theres a shitload outside.. im gonna get like 6 traps tommorow, and i have been putting the poison in their holes like CRAZY.. my only worry is my big hugeass 140lb german sheperd getin there. I gotta keep him away from the front...

RATS.. its on BITCHES!!


Im going to repaint and fix the front and sell the car.. i cant seem to have anything nice and enjoy it without getting ruined in some way... atlesat I drive a company car i dont care about now...

Funny *** story. I think what you should do is get rid of the rats and that'll make you stop worrying about the ITR.

Yeah, I gotta clean up the mess he made inside, appleskin everywhere...

Im taking the car over to the shop tommorow, they have to straighten out the rad support and part thats connected to the fender.. I just paid like $80 for the hood hinges, and buoght a used 01 ITR bumper for $220.. plus its gonna cost me a grand for the front repaint /installation and fixing..

Amongst that, I can't drive this car anywhere ... I cant park it anywhere.. im paranoid all the time.. nothing but stresses!

I do have a company car.... so I can have her for a weekend toy.. but now RATS are eating the car!!!..

man im having a bad week.

Its been just an HOUR.. i guess they are really attracted to the heat when i had my car on..

I left 4 poison tablets on the battery, and they are GONE..

for the 2 hours, i have been planting these rat poison tablets which have been dissapearing like CRAZY!... iv dumped 4 of them on the ground,GONE,then on my battery.. and in those holes.. they are seriously enjoying their dinner!

I think my garage is almost safe!

Ya i gota agree pick them off 1 by 1, I know the poison works, but they always craw off somewhere and die so unless you know where the body is get ready for a stink fest

 

ok ok.. but like, how did the rat get in my gearbox?? and will he be able to get out??? or wil I have to take apart the whole interior there to get to that fcker??


My garage is like 800 SQ FT too.. its not small.. and its packed with crap from the old house.. this is going to SUCK!

You can get it almost anywhere, I got my last bottle at Kmart.

I'm sure if he got in, he'll get out. Just hope he doesn't do any damage while nosing around. Alot of wires in an Integra The secondary O2 sensor wire is near there, and that sucker is expensive. Try jiggling the shifter, scare him out. Once he clears the R, then use the shotgun

Definitely don't want him to nest in there.

I think you're going to end up with a bunch of dead rats stinking up your ITR.

I'd take apart the console and get that ****** out from under the shift boot before he has a chance to chew anything up or die in there.

I work at an Acura dealership and believe it or not we see a lot of this (cars damaged by rats, esp. the underhood wiring). They seem to prefer the V6's, valley below the intake manifold makes a nice home I guess?

 

The rat has good taste.. maybe he wasn't eating an apple but pretending he was at the track hitting VTACK.
