Default Civic EX ecu in Civic HX Will it work?

To make a long story short, i did a auto-manual conversion on my civic HX. Somehow i ended up with an ECU stamped P2M. From my understanding, that means i have a 96-98 civic EX manual ECU. Will this work?

The P2N ecu i have throws a code because it is an automatic ecu. I installed an intake manifold and throttle body from a manual car, switched the wires for the IACV, etc. Is it possible to make the P2N automatic ECU work with the manual switch? I'm in desparate need of help here guys Thanks!

It'll work. But gas mileage could be way off.

Doesn't an HX run VTEC-E? So only 12 valves opperate until VTEC engages. On a P2M ECU that would be 5500 RPM if I recall correctly. I would assume that the VTEC-E ECU would engage VTEC much sooner... also the maps will be different... but will it run? Sure. How well? I don't know.

96-98 civic EX manual ECU and 99-00 is P2P, you need to find a manual P2N, and you can't use a P28

will it work? yes, it will move your car. is it ideal? no.

can you marry a retarded 900lb girl? yes.

will you be happy with your decision? probably not.

find a p2n manual ecu and also when you swapped the intake manifold did you use y8 or y5? the y5 has egr and the p2n looks for that and you'll throw a code if you used y8 one.

gl finding p2n ecu though

OK, so i gotta find a manual p2n ecu for it to run right....

I used a y8 mani, but i got the EGR problem figured out with a good old blockoff plate and some zip ties.

Anyone know if it is possible to convert an auto p2n ecu into a manual?
