Need opinion on new project
I just wanted to see if this would be a good idea...let me know
right now i have a blue 4dr 97 civic with a b16a2 swap....with a blitz front bumper and a VIS double deck aluminum wing, ect, ect......this is what i have planned for next year...i was gonna get 99-00 si bumber, headlights, fenders and a carbon fiber hood for a 99-00 civic..i found out everything would bolt right in place....and to also get rid of the wing...
I also wanted to get the SI red full paint job for the 4dr and basically look like a stock SI...so you guys think that would be tight..or just ricey? let me know thanks

HAHAHA, ok...
I would say if you still have your OEM bumper, put that back on and get the OEM chin spoiler for it...
Or keep it the way it is, and have people think your a "Riceboy"or"All Show" and just focus on the performamce part(motor/suspension)And we you wreck shop on that **** they wont know what hit'em... Its always good to see a kitted out car with lots of power
Is that better?

Yeah that green Grand Am driver is Ed, thats who i was talking about... And yeah I got some suspension work done, and im not done with it yet(hehehe)...
I got Skunk2 coil-overs with KYB AGX(4-way adjustable), FR/RR upper strurt bars, RR lower tie bar and Trail arm bushings...
It came close to like a 1000 for all of that... And i would say it depends on what type of racing your doing in your car for what kinda set-up you go with... My ride can be kinda harsh at times for daily grinds, but I like it...
I wanna maybe go for a full body coil-over system, but this is fine for now. Plus im pretty much done with this car, Looking to finally get a motorcycle(hopefully). So im just going to add some more engine part(hehehe)and finish the suspension. And maybe get some body work done on the car.

yea ive seen that bumper..not to big of a fan on that one.....
nothing flashy.
are those urethane? and how much those usually go for
I cant remember what there made out of, i think there only like 130 bucks or something like that. check
http://www.jdmhondaparts.com sheng has them on there.
Oh yeah, skip the C/F hood, just get a fiberglass and get it painted to match the car. People overlook what the C/F hoods are really made for.

IMHO, i think the front end conversion is a waste of money, Just me...
To much shiot to change around and get painted... unlike the 98+ integra front bumper change, just change bumper and headlights, corners and your done(+paint)... Just slap your old one back, get the 96+ chin spoiler and start working on that motor
Most people wont know you converted it unless you tell them or they know there shiot...

true true..where can you get that lip again?...and also for the best price
And also jdmhondaparts.com(i dropped that link up above)...
I like the civic Type R lip the best.
Thats great
But he'll have to modify the CTR lip to fit his 96 bumper or do the conversion...
A kid i know has the Si lip on his 96 hatch, he had to chop up his bumper in order to get it to fit... doesnt look to bad until you up on the car... I think the OEM look gives it more of a smooth look to it-but thats just me...

And good luck, there not that easy to come buy...
And yeah, I think the people at speedoptions.com has that CTR spoiler... I think they also have one for the 94-97 teg front bumper too...
Even though I think the 99-00 front end looks better than the 96-98 it probably would be more cost efficient just to buy a ctr lip and put back your stock bumper. Then use the rest of the money and get some skunk2 cams CJ!
