Default Lower Ball Joint.. Axle removal!! Help!

I have the lower ball joint loose. I have the axle nut off. Everything is loose. I cannot lift the axle rotor off of the lca. It will not budge. There are centimeters between the lower ball joint's gasket and where the lca attaches. Any ideas? I have beaten the top of the LCA like Tyson. It will not seperate from the axle rotor.

Try renting a pitman arm puller from AutoZone.

I had that exact same problem today. I just wedged a jackstand beneath the bolt that connects the rotor assembly to the lca and beat the dogshit out of the lca lol.

I did the same thing. Once you remove the 32mm axle nut and have given the lca a whoopin, kick the upper control arm (?) which sits above the hub on the fat, flat part and it should knock the lca out and the hub assembly will pull off the lca with little physical effort.

after all the bolts/nuts are off, take a 5 lb sledge and whack the crap out of the lca. there is a small flat spot on the front/back right where the ball joint goes through. hit it good and it shocks the balljoint right out
