Default IGNITION SWITCH? CAN I USE A AUTO ON A MANUAL? OR A MANUAL ON A AUTO?

well, lately my car is having starting problems. i have already replaced ground wires, battery, starter, alternator, battery terminals. the only thing i can think of next is ignition switch.

called the dealer up and the want $300 for the whole ignition/ke lock assembly.
the local parts store are not to far behind. neither sells the seperate.

since i only need the switch itself and not the lock nor the lock cylinder, i have found some on ebay. but most of them are for manual cars. since mine is a automatic, can i use a manual one in my car?

will it cause complication later on down the road?
is it a straight plug n play? or do i have to modify the harness?

i think it should be the same... check honda, and see if there is different part numbers. if the numbers are the same, then they are the same...

I've got a 6G civic ignition wire I can sell you for pretty cheap. Got some key cylinders too.

I believe if you only get the cylinder youll be ok. Its the wiring that allows you to pull the key out and turn on. The cylinder locks the key/wheel though.
