I was wondering on my 96 civic coupe, if i get 2 inch drop lowering springs, like eibachs, do I need to get a certain kind of shocks and struts to? Or will the stock ones work? Thanx

 

stock will work but over time they will give out

 

after market springs work with stock strurts.. they normal ride like crap.. if you have the budget for it i would replace with sturts too.. basic kyb or tokico will make a world of difference.. plus its the same amount of work if you change them at the same time. even if you have to wait a few week to buy the new sturts do it.
if you have not bought them yet look for the springs used to save some money.. then buy new struts

So just get like regular kyb or tokico shocks and struts or do they need to be adjustable because of the lowered factor?

 

the ajustable part is just to set how stiff you like it you ride... cost extra money

the basic and adjustables all work with lowered springs

get a camber kit as well.. do you know what a camber kit is?

i don;t know how your budget you can always spend more money..

but the camber kit is a must have.. will save your tires and help your ride

Tockico Blues= (they are really bouncy and they also tend to give out. I would go with some KYB AGX shocks or some tockico Illuminas!

they are not hard to install. get the kind that replace the whole upper control arm in the front.. like skunk2.. people been using skunk2 kit for years.. $150 on ebay shipped.. if you can change struts you can manage a camber kit install.. you should find a alingment shop that will adjust the camber for you to get it perfect but you can eye it yourself.. pull it out 1.5 degrees. (anyone know how many degrees for a 2" drop please post)..

I'm running Tein S-Tech's on stock struts. They're fine now, but if you plan on driving the car for a few years I'd upgrade the struts too.
