CAR BOGS, please help!!!
so, last night we just finished a b16a swap into my 1993 hatchback. the car is drivable but when i try to push it into higher rpm, it'll bog. i am running with d15 fuel injectors because the b-series ones were broken. there is a knock sensor code, but i don't think thats it, there was a problem with the car starting also, i sometimes would try to start the car and all i could hear is the crank but no start, so i take the dizzy cap off and clean it a little and it starts, and sometimes it doesn't, so i'm having a feeling that little clue could also connect with my bogging issue???

For starters, you're more than likely not getting anywhere near enough fuel, although I don't want you to quote me on that because I dunno what the average d15 is given as far as fuel. But, the knock sensor code SHOULD be looked into. I don't think that's it, but it should definitely be looked at.
Btw, are you running small exhaust? When I did a b18c5 swap on a '92 cx hatch with mostly stock exhaust components (still had the catalytic convertor), whenever vtec would engage it would cork the exhaust flow and I'd get practically no power. Driving around town under 4500 rpm it was good, but if you got VTEC to engage then it'd bog severely. Sound something like what you're talking about, or?

YES! as i get around that rpm, it would sound like it wants to push more power but it can't and starts bogging. i am running the dx exhaust set-up, all stock componenst besides a universal exhaust tip. so this means new exhaust?

i would check the fuel injectors for sure. or how about the fuel filter??? have you changed that recently. that could make a big diffrence! but there is also the fact the knock is bad

That's right. They are the same size.

You mean the fuel filter.
Don't worry about the fuel pump. There's people in the 12's all motor without an upgraded pump.
It may be the with a knock sensor code the car's timing maps are retarded and it's in a limp home mode in the first place. What ECU are you running?

currently usuing P30 ECU. during the swap, my friend broke the knock sensor.

bump, i seems that this morning, my car won't start, you can hear it cranking but it won't start, so i'm leaning torwards that the distributor is causing this ****. what do u guys thinks?? help plz!
It could be one of many things, for starters you might want to get rid of all you check engine lights. From what your describing it also sounds like the timing belt might be off a tooth, try going over those things and let me know how it goes..
bump, still having this problem, its been a while yes, but i haven;t had a chance to fix my car. right now, i am having a strong feeling it could be my distributor
