let me see your (nice) sub/amp setups
I have a 12" infinity sub and a matching amp sitting around and since I recently upgraded my stock speakers i've been thinking about putting the sub and amp in my integra too. The problem is, I HATE the look of a stupid sub box and amp sitting in the hatch. I want to see some tasteful custom setups, doesnt matter what car. I was thinking about making a custom enclosure for the sub that fits up against the side and wrapping the enclosure in suede to match the rest of my interior, but i'd just like to see what other people have done before i get too carried away. Thanks in advance
lol, true, however.. I drive an LS. ***** slow no matter what haha. I'd rather have a nice car than (still slow) stripped out piece of junk. Thats just me though, no offence to you guys running around in fully stripped hatches with a d series haha. And besides, im not going all out with it, so i'll just take it out when i go to the track.

Went from the standard big box

Had an idea to put the speakers here

Laid down some fibreglass

Cut the glass down to size and did some mocking of the front

Then had these boxes

Sitting in its new home

Paint, bondo and such later...

With some grills to keep it all safe in my trunk

They are FOR SALE too if anyone is interested. Just the boxes or the boxes and the Subs.

^^^ THAT is clean as hell.
I dont care to have a system like that though. IMO you can have a great sounding setup with just a good 4 channel amp and some good door speakers that can handle wattage. I like the sound of a FULL stereo system more than dash rattling bass. Thats just my opinion though.

Thanks, my brother (mostly) and I put alot of work into them.
I know what you mean about nicely balanced door speakers, but sometimes I jsut feel the need for bass. Hey at least the bass will cover up the scary suspension sounds I have :S
And I guess I have a craving for more bass. I am upgrading to 12'' Alpines instead of those 10'' MTXs.

Here's my set up...Nothing crazy...just 3 JLw6....Not the prettiest set up either...=p...And there's nothing wrong with being ugly...probably save more room to put **** in the trunk with it...=p

It was dead easy to do too, I found a good how-to in the stereo alarm forum that described the whole process.
I'll see if I can find that how-to again
