What The H#LL?
Ok a little story for you all. I went to bed at midnight. Got up at 7:30 a.m. to let the dog out and looked out at my prelude and noticed the front bumper laying in the grass and my hood was up. I got my shoes ran out to my car to find the drivers side glass busted out. Talk about freaking out! Looked around at what happened and to see what was taken. Thiefs stole from inside my car my gauge pod and window trim piece that held my Phaze boost gauge and AEM wideband gauge. Under the hood they stole my intercooler (don't laugh, but it was an XS POWER) and piping, JoeP boost controller and my AFPR. Called the cops to file a report and then asked if they were gonna come out and take a look and said NO we have the information already (what a bummer), then called the insurance company and they told me they would not do anything since I took off my comprehensive on my car. Man do I feel violated right about now! If anyone knows or sees anything please let me know at 429turbo@gmail.com.
Thanks!
Thanks!
sorry to hear that man, theaves deserve to have there hands cut off and made the swim through a glass filled swimming pool. i had a car stolen before and it was the worste feeling ever. but atleast you didnt loose the whole car. sorry again man
Comp for me cast more than $50 a year. Almost another $35 a month. Around here there are more stereo thiefs than car thiefs, so here i go assuming wrong that my car would be alright. As far as the alarm goes as soon as I get everything purchased back to get going again that will be put in the same day. Man just last week we put in the new timing belt and radiator equipment, then retuned and had the car going really welly too. Replacement should be under a $1000 hopefully. Time to move!

theft in Iowa?
wtf
sounds like more damage to the car than just the bumper. I mean I have taken off my bumper before and ripped up the tabs that get set into place on the sides.....you MAY be able to claim it under homeowners IF the car was IN the GARAGE.......follow?

Already tried the homeowners insurance and no dice! I am trying to find replacement parts and has been a hit and miss for direct replacements since ssautochrome doesn't sell the intercooler kits for the prelude anymore. Recently I realized also that my blow-off went with them pipes and took another kick to the head.
sounds like the stole some pretty specific things.
this stuff should end up on someones car or on ebay/forums. to me it sounds like its going to end up on someones car.
That sucks sorry to hear.
I had my car broken into about 3 times in philly. it sucks.

i've had my car broken into 2 times.
when i had a 95 accord
first time no alarm and they stole the sterio and broke the ignition colum
second time i had an alarm and that autolock on the break pedal. i woke up one morning and my hood was slightly opened and my doors were unlocked. nothing was stolen. i'm glad accord and preludes have a lock on the trunk on that switch inside the car. i guess the theif saw the autolockwhen they got in and gave up.
i've had my lude for a couple years now and have never had a problem. i take my cd player out every time i park the car at night and i had a viper alarm put in.
I highly suggest getting an alarm that will page you if it is triggered. Very nice when you are asleep. Especially if you hear a car alarm go off, you will know if it's your car and can hurry up to catch/scar thieves away.
my brother just had his cars stolen and they somehow caught the theives a week later. so never give up.
Good luck hope you catch the thieves.
