Default Nearly Stolen 1995 GSR Integra (Murano Red)

I live in Las Vegas, Summerlin area. My place is pretty decent, houses here cost around 400K ~ 720K. I see Lambos, Ferraris, and Bentleys go in and out of the main street in front of my Subdivision. I figured, this is a pretty rich area, I don't need to worry about broke scumbags trying to steal my Integra, people here are too rich to care about an Integra. For crying out loud, we have a Security Guard at our gate entrance. I never in my mind thought that my car would get stolen... Anyway, the story goes, my car recently got into an accident, so the driver side exterior is bruised. The door kinda cracked so anyone wanting to steal my car would easily bend the door out, and unlatch the door with a hanger. Knowing this, I park my car right in front of our garage door in a cul de sac, most of the time my family's car would park in front of my car, sandwiching my car secure. One day, my 2 bros used my car. So I gave the keys, and they left. I was in my room using the computer until around 3AM. They came back and said if I used my car. I was in shock saying, "didn't you guys use my car?" They said that they used my sister's car instead and left my car at the corner of the street. We ran out and saw my car stalled, heading right, going out of the other cul de sac beside ours. The car had it's ignition area ripped, broke the wheel-lock like it was crowbarred. The hood cable was cut as well. The hood was opened slightly, and the battery terminal loose. Nothing inside the car was taken. The CDs, and everything was still inside... The first thing on our mind was... Maybe it was the Construction Workers who "eyed" my car and decided to steal it when we least expected it, which was December 26, after Christmas. Hours later, we think it was kids around our area, because the car was left stalled, engine and lights off, making a right turn out of the cul de sac., we think it might be our neighbors living inside the cul de sac. Well... who the hell knows... All we know is... My car got stolen by Honda/Acura Thieves, but the thieves decided to just leave it, with nothing stolen inside. Maybe they were in the process of getting away, but stalled in the process, and just bailed out. This is a lesson to all INTEGRA owners. Doesnt matter where you live, rich or poor, INTEGRAs will always be eye-candy to any thief. When I get my car fixed, I want to put all the anti-theft devices I can find. First on my list is the Lock (I forgot the name) that locks the brake to prevent the car from rolling off. Next, is the Kill Switch, then I'll go for a secondary Alarm system with Strobes which is connected to a hidden secondary battery. By the way, I also want to know if they have a device that Signals a pager if the alarm goes off in your car. So at least I'll know if my car is in the process of getting stolen, so I can run back to my car if it beeps or vibrates... So INTEGRA owners! ARM yourselves with ANTI-THEFT DEVICES. The more the merrier. Lastly, get Full Coverage Insurance from Costco, I believe they don't charge as high as Allstate, or State Farm, or the like, but willing to believe you if your car did get stolen. I know lots of arsehole insurance companies that think you planned to get it stolen for cash and in the process want to bring you to court to testify, and blah blah blah.. waste time and money. Literally, if I ever see those thieves trying to steal my car again, they better have 911 ready in their speed dial, cuz Imma kill em. As Integra Owners, we better form an alliance to stop them thieves.

I have a viper alarm and I don't feel like it does anything. Forget all of the stuff you've heard. The best security is a well hidden kill switch. Hell, Maybe even two of them. But when it comes down too it if they want it they'll have it.
