Im honing out my ls block to put in some je 9:2:1 pistons. i read that with a factory hone the piston to wall clearance is 0.0001- 0.0002, also you can bore your cylinder 1 mm over with no problems. so i am trying to get back the factory piston to wall clearance. the pistons are .25 oversized so im guessing the hone should be any where from .2501-.2502. if this is right what type of piston rings should i use. piston rings with the standard bore or rings with with .25 oversized.
i would like your to know what you think. thanks

 

their should be a spec sheet that came with those pistons with recommended install clearances. the factory clearances are no good with those pistons because they're forged and will expand with heat.
