ok first off i have a 89 civic dx hatchback, all completely stock, i bought it about a year ago,

well i cant figure out why the clutch is so stiff and i have to push on the clutch pedal somewhat hard, my main issue is i keep going through pedal brackets because i keep breaking them, i've checked the clutch cable and it moves freely and is not bound up in any way, and the clutch pedal moves freely and everything is brand new, also i recently had a shop replace the clutch about 4 months ago because the clutch was starting to slip, also ive had this problem since the day i got the car

 

if u had the shop do it for you bring it back and ask them whats going on here

 

not enough grease on the throwout bearing.

 

so u think just grease the throwout bearing and it should be fine?

 

Check out my thread, I'm having the same type of problem. Other then the clutch slipping, I havent ran into that yet.

well u think grease could be the only problem? because i had this problem before and after the clutch was replaced
