pillow ball mount question
Sorry this may sound stupid, but what exactly is a pillow ball mount and what does it do? I've heard you really don't need to use them, any truth to this?
what asahi said.....they are not required, but the adjustable ones let you change your camber quickly at the track.
i'm thinking that they are universal.....but before i throw down the cash i'd like to know for sure.
thanks

cambet is not adjustable without special kits and not something you would want to do off an alignment rack. using a PBM is sort of the same reasoning as changing to Poly bushings. Just more stability. Not really any adjustability.
i guess i learned something new too
so whats the difference with aluminum perches and pillow mounts?
the reason i thought you can adjust the camber is because that's what i read here:

maybe i shouldn't beleive everything i read!
thanks for clearing that up

I beleive w/ some you can dial alot more cater i. Just my .02 cents and I've been wrong before. Ps. thats not something to change off a rack unless you are a race engineer w/ proper equiptment.
You can adjust the camber on pillow mounts if the car uses macphersian (sp? i know thats way off) struts like the RSX.

You can't adjust caster either. The shocks (not struts) do not affect suspension geometry on this car.
You can try tilting the shocks, and watching the piston rod bend on the first hard hit. That would be cool. Get it on video
