paint is paint. i dont have alot of experience in the paint shop, but i work in a body shop and i went to school for auto body. i painted my red eg hatch w/ chromabase. the paint is just a prefrence. where i work they use nexa and i work a freakin caddy dealership. ive never heard of nexa b4 i started here. ive had many opinions from many painters. its all in just want u like. or the painter likes. u can lay any kind of paint wet or dry. its all in the painter. hope that helps.

NASON is that cheap ****. chromabase clear 2300hc/2400s is real good imo, use it all the time. transstar clear is real good to. but like they said before what ever the painter like's they use. oh and to answer your question, chromabase is alot more vibrant color then capa base. that's why they call it chromabase

Oh yeah glad to see someone else knows about PPG!
Ill put PPG up against Dupont anyday of the week. Been happy with PPG for a while now. Thats all I use.
Tried Nason but don't like it very much.
PPG here.....
First time I painted it.

Second time due to me running over a rotor in the middle of the road.and shaved the antenna

thats clean man. im happy w dupont. last time i messd with ppg, it messd up. we had tintable ppg primer to prime a civic pink, for my buddies girl. and that primer was thin as hell and didnt cover up very well. other than that time i havent used it. use wat u want, painters choice. i also used nason once and hated it. not good quality. very dull.
