Default JC whitney (Lowering clamps)

I was flipping through this catalog and I saw this item that clamps to your stock springs to lower it. Like a spring compressor. You put the rounded end of the clamp and put it around the spring then you turn the hex screw which makes the spring compress. Does anybody here use that?

Do you really think using clamps to lower your ride is a good idea?

You can get a set of used, no name springs for under $50 and even those would ride better than clamps.

And why are you even reading JC Whitney anyways?

You can pick up a decent set of used springs on here for less than 100, i've sold new springs for less than 100. Why bother?

I believe most Le mans and Super Touring use those clamps on shorter courses when the cornering is really tight.

Go to AutoZone, the sell those clamps for like 10 bucks. you can work them the other way to make you're car higher. That's what they do to box Chevys

I use them all the time on my DC, but I also use wooden spoons and cookie dough tubes for shocks.
