Cabin Fan switch Heater/AC
2000 EX Accord 4cyl
Cabin Fan switch Heater/AC, does not function on lower two speeds (1) & (2) yet (3) & (4) work.
Is it the switch or the Fan motor?
Where Can I locate switch on-line, Looking and have not found it yet. Maybe I am not looking with correct name.

Look instead for the fan control resistor, #7 underneath the blower housing. Not working on lower speeds while it works on higher speeds is pretty classic for that. Dirty/loose wiring connections?

ps... like the name. Do much riding??

I'm having the same issue with my son's 96 ex. Is this accessible without taking apart the dash? Do you have the steps to access it? Would cleaning up the connections fix it or should I get a new #7?
Thanks

That picture is for 2000, 1996 would be different. Go to hondaautomotiveparts.com & put in your year & model, see what it looks like. Picture is probably called heater fan or something like that.
I don't have a '96 but I suppose you have to remove some trim panel(s) under the glovebox. Maybe remove the glovebox??
It's dumb luck whether cleaning the connections would work, but I'd try it first. If the problem is a failed resistor within that resistor pack, then cleaning the contacts won't help.
