im swapping back in my stock cam gears on my gsr. i came across this page:
http://www.evotuners.com/camgears.htm
a bout half way down the page it says "mark the timing belt at tdc and lock the tensioner so that it doesnt tighten up when you take the belt of the gears."
how exactly does one do that? from what i was told by a few people, you dont even need to take off the bottom covers, you can just slip the belt off the gears and put the new ones on.

The tensioner is already "locked" in its current state, generally you have to loosen a 14mm bolt to unlock the tensioner to get the belt off. You can "generally" slip the belt off, its pretty easy to get off and can be a bit harder to get back on.
