Get the Apexi World Sport catback. It's so quiet, you'll think it was OEM. Mines is so quiet, I have to WOT it sometimes to hear the awesome growl it produces.

the test pipe would be another reason its loud, get rid of it and put in a cat high flow or not dont matter but having the test pipe is whats making it loud, also do you have any resonators?

test pipe removes/replaces the catalytic converter. strait pipe has no muffler (or neither?).

An important thing to know is, what exhaust do you currently have? If you have an exhuast that would normally be considered quiet, than the cheapest solution would be to put your OEM cat back on. Even hi-flow cats are much louder than OEM style cats.

My friend has a 2 1/2" back exhaust with one resonator and a magnaflow dual tip muffler on his 00 accord. It's quiet as ****, its hardly noticable until WOT. Id say replacing the canister style muffler with a 100 dollar magnaflow, that's not too bad. Or buy a silencer

I have megan racing on my 97 ex with weapon-r secret weapon intake, it's loud. But that's the way I like it.

i have a factory fit, hangers welded onto obx racing muffler on 90 accord, $250., internet shopping. you get what you pay for. try supertrap and adjust baffles? jc whitney cut and weld. factory fitting best bet.

That's what he has. And any reputable muffler shop can weld hangers on the muffler to make it fit and stable. It will cost like 50$ installation, I think his muffler was 150 from a shop near by in York.

Good luck. Justin

It sounds like the test pipe is whats making the high DBs.

A high-flow chambered muffler might make it quieter than a straight-through. and how the tip is pointed can effect volume as well.

replace the test pipe with either a cat or resonator and/or replace your current muffler with something quieter, i recomend the greddy SP2, its quiet, but still has a tuned sound to it. no point buying a new cat-back when you already have the piping.

go to your local muffler or exhaust shop and ask them to fabricate you one. I paid like $225 for ss cat back piping and BORLA muffler (Magnaflow canister style costs even less). Lifetime warranty too. it's one of the cheapest ways to go that offers some type of quality. But if you live out of CA then save up for a good system and high flow cat. both options sound really good and you don't have to worry about cops or polluting the environment with no cat. If you have to take the cat off your car on the street, your car was never fast to begin with.

GReddy SP2.

i have it with a header, straight pipe, and add the SP2 to the equation and it equals the perfect sound. loud enough but no tooo loud.
